Privacy

Muddlework does not require an account and does not collect your name or contact details.

On your device

Your progress, streaks, points and library are stored only on your device. Clearing your browser data, or removing the app, removes them.

What we receive

When the game loads the day's board, your device sends a small set of anonymous facts:

whether this is your first board;
approximately how many boards you have played, and how long since your first;
whether you opened, and whether you solved, the previous day's board;
whether you opened the game from your home screen;
any campaign link through which you arrived.

Sharing a result, solving the day's board, and being offered or using a hint are also recorded. A solve includes the level, an approximate solving time and whether you are in your first week of play. Each is recorded no more than once per device per day.

How it is used

This information is used only in aggregate, to understand how the game is played and to improve it. It does not identify you. We do not use it to identify or track individuals, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising.

Feedback

If you send feedback from within the game, we store your comment, and your email address if you choose to provide it, solely to read and respond to it.

Hosting

The game is hosted by a third-party provider that keeps standard technical server logs.
